I am an Alief PROUD parent of two daughters who currently attend Alief ISD Schools. I actively participate in several community organizations and district committees. I have been an Alief ISD volunteer since my children began their education in Alief. Studies show that when parents are involved, students perform at higher level academically. As a district where 92% of our families are socio-economically disadvantaged, our greatest challenge is to end poverty. Through education, we can close the academic achievement gap which will improve the lives of families and lift them out of poverty.

If elected as School Board Trustee, I will advocate for programs such as early child education, after school tutorials, health and wellness, and fine arts. I will promote fiscally responsible use of taxpayer dollars to ensure smart investments are made in maintaining and building new facilities. I will support livable wages for all employees, retirement benefits, and support for teachers.

I welcome your support in my campaign for Alief ISD School Board Trustee, Position #7.  Election Day is  November 7, 2017.
